My work forms, I hope a continuity of narrative, a collection of objects, people, places; often the everyday, ephemeral. The agency and provenance of which, is of great interest.

I am focused on documenting my/my family’s experience of these, as well as recording and collecting objects and visual information from my surroundings.  I use this as a tool to anchor me - tracking, to document as evidence of existence.   An interest in life cycle, growth & decay has evolved as an exploration within this, alongside the act of planting/growing itself. While constantly observing I note the often small, humorous oddities in my surroundings.

Close to, my paintings/drawings/prints can appear disparate. I often push work to the edge of coherence, keeping control of this so that the work makes sense but creating areas of dissolution and diffraction. It is not a conscious process but appears to be my natural way of working.

My love of drawing, I hope is apparent throughout regardless of the materials used.
